No One Can Figure Out What Boise Animal This Jawbone Belongs To

You never know what you'll find when you explore the Treasure Valley, that's a given... but what if you find something that defies explanation in your own backyard?

How often do you find bones in your backyard?

We hope it's obvious that we're not talking about human bones, but in case you're confused, we're talking about an animal or creature of some sort.

We found what appears to be a jawbone in our backyard and there's a debate in our house as to what it belongs to... and if it's worth anything. As a matter of fact, at the time of this publishing, this author's wife is currently out back with a stick, looking for more bones because we can't figure out if we have something on our hands.

Let's look at the jawbone in question and then go to the possible animals that it could belong to...

Trust us -  we did some extensive research and went down a rabbit hole of possibilities. Luckily for you, we filtered down our guesses to the most likely... and included one reach.

Spoiler: there are no dinosaurs in our guesses...

Well... what do you think it is? We still can't figure it out and even worse - we're looking up how much this thing is worth. We've seen people offering $50 for certain jawbones and we've seen some priced at nearly $7,000.

Are we in possession of a couple of month's worth of rent or are we keeping something in our garage that is worth nothing more than the random pebble in your backyard?
