Get ready, Boise! The long-awaited premiere of The HISTORY Channel's hit survival series, "Alone," is back for its 10th season — and there's an Idahoan who's going to be on the show! Thursday, June 8 at 7:00pm MST — tune in to witness ten fearless participants get dropped in the middle of Northern Saskatchewan, Canada, all competing for the ultimate prize of $500,000.

The contestants will be completely alone in the unforgiving wilderness, home to dangerous predators like black bears and wolves, and all they will have with them is the ten items they get to start with, and a camera to document what they go through — no camera crews!

Who is the Idahoan that will be on the show?

Luke Olsen, a proud Idahoan, spent his formative years in southern Idaho, growing up at the famous Miracle Hot Springs resort just about a 2-hour drive from Boise.

According to his official bio on history.com, "His parents, Larry and Sherrel, are the authors of the #1 best-selling book “Outdoor Survival Skills,” and founders of The Anasazi Foundation and other wilderness therapy programs. Luke is the youngest of eleven children and had to keep up with an extremely adventurous family."

Luke currently resides in Maui, Hawaii, and his deep-rooted love for nature and his family's involvement in wilderness therapy programs have shaped his outdoor skills — making him a great contestant for "ALONE."
