Normally, we would tell people who are trying to get healthy in 2024 to exit this article as fast as possible BUT... this could actually be a great test of willpower.

"It's bad for you. It's bad for you."

Let's keep telling ourselves that because we came across thirteen fast-food items that are no longer available. Fast-food items that we would happily welcome back with open arms.

Why were these items discontinued?

A lot of restaurant chains like to test out items and these items aren't always hit. Sometimes, they're so far out there that you might be wondering why it was an idea in the first place.

Other times, it's a food item that we love so much but not enough people do for it to become a permanent menu item.

For example, take the Pop-Tart Ice Cream Sandwich (yes, you read that right), it sounds like an amazing idea. You take one of the greatest breakfast foods of all time and throw in some vanilla ice cream - why didn't we think of this before?

Unfortunately, as much as we love it - it couldn't last forever.

Some menu items were taken off simply because we found out just how unhealthy they were. A great example of this can be found in the old French fry recipe used by McDonald's which involved frying them in beef fat.

Reading that now, it sounds absolutely terrible for our arteries... but in the early 90s? Psh. Give us those golden arches, baby!

Let's look at 13 food items that are no longer available but Idaho would welcome back with open arms. And remember:

"It's bad for you. It's bad for you."

Willpower, people!
