Chris Stapleton to Sing at the Big Game, What Does Boise Think?!
It was announced that on February 12, 2023, Christ Stapleton will be singing the National Anthem to kick off the Big Game — in the pre-game ceremonies. It was mentioned in this article that this is actually “the third straight year a country singer will honor America before the Super Bowl.” So, that’s pretty cool!
What I find really interesting, though, is that this is happening at a time where Chris Stapleton isn’t really doing as much right now. His most recent album was in 2020, and we’re not quite sure what’s coming next for Chris Stapleton, other than singing the National Anthem before the game — I guess we’ll wait and see what happens after February 12th!
However, it was noted in the before-mentioned article (above) that Stapleton will be going on a small tour of stadium shows with George Strait beginning in May 2023.
Being that Idaho is full of country music fans, I wanted to hear from y’all about this news! What do you think about Chris Stapleton singing the National Anthem before the big game? We asked our community on Facebook, and if you keep scrolling, you’ll see some of the top comments.
It appears the general consensus in the Boise area and the Treasure Valley is that people are excited! But not only are they excited; people wish Chris Stapleton was actually the halftime show!
