My heart still goes out the class of 2020 who unfortunately had to miss out on some monumental high school moments like prom and graduation due to COVID. This year's graduating seniors are little luckier than last years though. Proms and in-person graduations are happening for schools all across the Treasure Valley.

Just on Wednesday the Nampa School District announced it will be holding in-person graduation for its three biggest high schools - Columbia High School, Nampa High School and Skyview High School at the Ford Idaho Center later this month.

Last year, Nampa's graduation ceremonies were postponed but still happened in July with a limited attendance. This year, there is no limit on who can attend the ceremonies which means graduates are allowed to invite as many people as they would like to. The district is encouraging guests to wear masks while inside the building.

The event will be also be live streamed so family members and friends can watch from home if they prefer.

Listed below is Nampa School District's full Graduation Calendar:

May 19: TVLA. 11 a.m. at Lakeview Park
May 19: NOVA. 5 p.m. (Virtual); Hat Toss Ceremony 7 p.m. at Park Ridge Field

As for proms, many Treasure Valley schools have already hosted them or will host a prom in the upcoming weeks.
