Idaho Man Dies After Boat Sinks in Reservoir
An Idaho man is no longer with us after a tragic boating accident in the Salmon Falls Reservoir.
The tragedy happened on Friday morning just before 10 a.m. Two men were in the boat, 65-year-old James A. Wilson of Jerome and 80-year-old Dr. Eugene Holm of Heyburn.
The boat they were in started to take on water and ultimately capsized. Holm's was found still on the boat 103 feet below the surface when the search continued Saturday. James Wilson was rescued shortly after the accident and taken to a local hospital.
According to an article on KTVB that details the accident, it is unclear what caused the boat to initially bring on the water.
We've had far too many local tragedies and accidents lately and I hate seeing these things happen as we approach the holidays. Please keep this man's family and all who loved him in your thoughts and prayers. Life is so precious and this is just another reminder that everything can change in an instant.
