Idaho Getaway Just Named Best Ski Resort on the West Coast
One of the best parts of living in Idaho is the skiing and snowboarding opportunities. You can head up to McCall, Tamarack, Bogus Basin out to Sandpoint. We have a total of 18 ski resorts in Idaho so choose the powder of your choice. You can only have one top spot each year and those would be Sun Valley.
Every year SKI Magazine crowns their best ski resort and our very own Sun Valley was chosen as best in the west. This isn't shocking since Sun Valley was basically the creator of the trendy ski town. Celebrities have been heading out to this popular resort since the 1930s.

This is the spot iconic figures like Marilyn Monrow, Ernest Hemingway, the Kennedy family, and more would hit the Northwest for that Idaho powder. It was also just a cool place to visit I the Winter. This is also where Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, and Arnold Schwarzenegger owned a lot of property. Oh, add Tom Hanks, Oprah Winfrey, Clint Eastwood, Ashton Kutcher, Justin Timberlake, and Bill Gates have or did own property here.
That list might just go up as SKI Magazine tells the world, Sun Valley is #1.
Skiing is legit, the locals don't look down their noses at you, and there's so much to do off the slopes, too.
That comes from SKI Magazine's article as they love the authenticity of Ketchum which they refer to as the 'anchor' of the resort.
