It's not a shock to anyone in the Treasure Valley to see construction projects going on but there is a big one in Nampa and Caldwell next week that will be shutting down parts of I-84. The story was posted by KBOI, including details from the Idaho Transportation Department about the overnight detour that will be in place while Idaho Power installs a transmission line.

The closer to I-84 will be April 22nd-26th from the Karcher/Midland exit going to the Franklin Road Interchange. The shutdowns will begin nightly at 10 p.m. lasting until 5 a.m. The detour will take travelers along US-20/26 and Midland Boulevard.

With big projects like this there are always variables that could change the plan, such as weather. So, if these dates change don't be shocked but with the nice weather lately hopefully this will be a quick and painless job for all involved so we can get I-84 back open quickly at all hours of the day and night.
