We're seeing more and more construction projects pop up around the Treasure Valley as the weather is getting nicer. So, it's not exactly a shock when we heard that Idaho Transportation Department crews will be shutting down a stretch of I-84 in Nampa next week.

Eastbound lanes will be closed on Monday, June 10th. The closure will begin at 10 p.m. and end on Tuesday, June 11th around 5 a.m.

Westbound lanes will be closed on Tuesday, June 11th. A detour will begin at 10 p.m. and end around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12th.

The closure will take place so crews can place girders on the new Karcher Road Overpass. This is part of the project to widen I-84 in the Nampa area.

There have been closures in this same area in weeks past and most times work crews are done way before those early morning deadlines which is always a nice surprise for the early morning drivers.
