How To Celebrate National Tequila Day!

I know I'm always writing about food, but my true passion is alcohol! On hot summer days I reach for an ice cold hard seltzer. If I'm just hanging out at the bar I'll sip on vodka sodas with lime to keep me at a steady buzz. After a hectic day with the kids I'll relax on the couch with a glass of red wine. But once a year I venture out of my comfort zone into the land of tequila for National Tequila Day! Won't you join me?

For a night in, you can't go wrong with Chili's to-go margaritas. With a few different flavors to choose from, you can pick them up ready-made in a sealed cup. If you're in a DIY mood opt for the kit to build your margarita at home.

If you're looking to have a little bit of a night out, head over to Barbacoa. In addition to margaritas, they have a specialty tequila cocktail and quite a nice variety of tequilas perfect for shots.

For a true tequila experience, I have to suggest The Matador. The entire restaurant is a vibe, and once you look at their tequila menu you'll be hard pressed to consider a different venue to develop your tequila palate.

Whichever route you take, remember Tequila Day is tomorrow, July 24th, but I won't judge if you celebrate all weekend. I know I will.
