High School Football Stars Commit to Boise State
This is what they've worked for. It's that time of year that high school football standouts get offers from colleges and start to make the decisions on where they'll play football on Saturdays in the fall.
We've got the news on the players Boise State might be collecting from across the country.
National Signing Day is coming up Wednesday, February 1st and that's when all of the high school players will officially choose their schools.
For now, we know that Boise State has made its pitch to wide receiver Octavius Evans in Center, Texas. He had six touchdowns last season and 852 yards receiving. Other schools want Evans too, and in fact eleven schools have offered him scholarships. We'll keep our fingers crossed he makes the right choice. Ahem.
Running back Drake Beasley out of California has made a verbal commitment to Boise State. These verbal commitments are usually pretty strong, and hold more water than say, those crazy flakes on dating apps. So it's looking good for Boise State to land this rock star.
We'll know for sure on February 1st who goes where. For now, congratulations on the amazing high school careers guys, and good luck at the next level. We know you'll do Boise State proud.
