After a tremendous week in Cabo San Lucas I never expected the adventures to continue on the flights back home to Boise. The trip was supposed to begin in Cabo San Lucas on Saturday around 3:30 p.m. continuing in San Diego with a final arrival in Boise just after 9:30 p.m. but the return trip was quite a bit different then anticipated.

Just as Savannah and I arrived to the Cabo San Lucas airport I got a text from Alaska Airlines saying our flight was being delayed for an hour. I knew that was going to cause a problem because we only had 90 minutes to get through customs in San Diego re-check our bags and continue on our journey.

That's when we were told there was no way to get to Boise tonight, this was going to turn into a 2 day return trip. Travel tip, always give yourself one day to get back into the normal routine. So, we got to San Diego and had to spend the night in a hotel there. I will say the new Hilton Garden Inn/ Homewood Suites on Pacific Hwy is very nice.

After travel on Saturday we had to wake up at 4 a.m. on Sunday to jump on the first flight out to Seattle then book the connecting flight to Boise to return home at 1 p.m. While I realize no one is going to be sympathetic after a week in Cabo it just makes me think we need to increase the number of flights to and from Boise!
