If you're planning more summer fun and those adventures are going to take you near McCall you're going to want to stay in the know about a new fire that just popped up.

KBOI was first to report that firefighters are battling a new wildfire burning about 30 miles north of McCall, close to Burgdorf.

The fire broke out close to 2:20 p.m. on Sunday afternoon in the Payette National Forest. As of Monday morning the fire was already estimated at 100 acres. As expected, additional fire crews are being called in to try and control this fire as quick as possible.

Currently the fire seems to be moving east toward Warren Wagon road. As a safety precaution the Jeanette Campground and dispersed campsites have been evacuated, as well as Burgdorf residents.

Ten airtankers, five helicopters, eight crews and nine engines are all working to contain the fire as of Sunday night.

While the cause of the fire is still unknown at this time, most suspect lighting to be the culprit.

We will keep you updated as we learn more about the fire and please keep all firefighters in your thoughts as they battle to contain the blaze.
