IDAHO WINE COUNTRY skyrockets

Over the last decade, KTVB reports the Gem State's wine country has become one of the fastest-growing in America.

Boise has become a destination. We see a lot of people that come here regionally from Phoenix, from Washington, from Oregon, a lot of people from California, which is great, but I’d say right now, it's still a big local community, but we get a lot of out of town guests, which is really great for Idaho tourism as a whole, because they're putting more heads and beds in Boise and they're going out to more restaurants downtown.

—Samantha Maxey, owner of Snake River Wine Tours

Back in 2011, Idaho only had 40 operational wineries to speak of, but fast-forward to 2022, and it now boasts a total of 70—an impressive 75% increase. Let's take a look at some other fascinating facts about Idaho's blossoming wine industry.
