We have such great law enforcement in Idaho it's always scary when one of them is in a crash while on duty. There was a pursuit yesterday evening in Nampa according to KTVB, that eventually ended with the suspect being arrested near Chinden and Ten Mile Road.

The crash took place at the intersection of Marketplace and Midland Boulevards. No details on why the pursuit was underway at this point.

One witness said the accident happened when the sheriff's vehicle was attempting to go through the intersection but it sideswiped a black pickup truck going through the same intersection.

The pickup driver was loaded onto a gurney and taken to the hospital with at least a visible bloody nose. No updates have been made regarding the conditions of the officer or the other driver at this time.

This is such an unfortunate event as law enforcement was just trying to do their job. The roads are dangerous without high-speed chases going on, please be extra careful when you're behind the wheel.
