Boise’s Sidewalks Are Getting Lit Up Near Downtown
Let there be light! Downtown Boise will be installing a new lighting system to help provide additional safety measures.
Our friends over at BoiseDev.com have it in the know and have let us all know that soon the section of Old Boise from Main through Capital will be illuminated with some brand new lighting structures. The new lights and structures have been approved with a pretty hefty price tag attached to them. A whopping $55,000 is projected to cover it all and the Capital City Development Corporation or the CCDC has teamed up Guho Corp to get the new feature to our highly voted "Best of" Downtown.
The plan will roll out and install new "uplights" at a number of close to 40 new lights soon. The beam of the lights will grace the buildings and reflect upwards towards the sky providing a new vision for patrons to experience everything the Old Boise area has to offer. Humpin Hannah's, Goldies, Amsterdam Lounge, Brickyard and a few more will be the first to try out the newer lights.
We are all excited to see the new lights in place and continuing to see our great city grow up in front of our eyes.
