Boise State Alum to Appear on Bachelor in Paradise Season 5
Just when you thought Bachelor in Paradise wasn't coming back for the 5th season, ABC's unveils the new cast. When the contestants arrive in Paradise, there will be a familiar face among the contestants.
With the addition of The Proposal, a show created by the producers of The Bachelor, Bachelor nation began to fear that their favorite spinoff wouldn't becoming back in 2018. The fear was completely understandable after the controversy surrounding Season 4. Filming of the series temporarily came to a halt because of sexual misconduct allegations against Corinne Olympios (the villain from Nick Viall's season) and DeMario Jackson (a guy who straight up lied to Rachel about having a girlfriend back home before going on The Bachelorette.)
The series offers heartbroken contestants from past seasons of the The Bachelor franchise a second chance at love by secluding them on an island. The show starts with six men giving roses to whichever one of eight women they'd like to get to know better. The two women without a rose go home. Two new men are brought in the next week and then it's the women's turn to give out a rose. With a constantly mismatched number of men and women, it's fascinating to watch how these summer flings develop and if they can really turn into the "real thing."
Paradise is also notorious for bringing back the contestants who stirred up the most trouble in past seasons...so it should be NO surprise when I tell you that our former Townsquare Media Boise promotions tech and BSU graduate, Krystal Nielson will be one of the women invited to the island this season! The 29 year-old fitness coach was the "villain" on Arie Luyendyk's season. (I put villain in quotes because Krystal's actually an absolute sweetheart and Arie's a jerk. He was the real villain on his own season.)
Bachelor in Paradise premieres on Channel 6 on Tuesday, August 8. If you can't wait to see Krystal on the reality TV competition, you can always pre-game for Paradise by watching her in this old Boise Hawks commercial.
