Boise Restaurants You Wish Would Come Back
We often focus on what we don't have. We dream of In-N-Out burgers and we're sad whenTreasure Valley stores close their doors. Let's reflect on the good 'ole days. If you've been in the Boise area for a long time, what restaurants have shut down that you wish would come back?
I've lived here less than five years, but back in my old stomping grounds of Utah. I miss a place called "Parker's Drive-Inn." They made the best hamburgers, fries, and cherry limeades I have ever had. I was so sad when they closed.
An article on MSN.com reflects on the good old days, listing "Legendary Fast Food Brands We Wish Would Make a Comeback," but most of them are before my time. Take a look for yourself and see if you are familiar with any of the restaurants featured. Did we have any of these in the Treasure Valley at one time or another?!
- Kenny Rogers Roasters
- Chi-Chi's
- Arthur Treacher's
- Pioneer Chicken
- Red Barn
- Sandy's
- Pup 'N' Taco
- Lum's
- Henry's Hamburgers
- Burger Chef
I feel like the good burger places are the ones that really stick with people. We have a ton of food options in the Boise area, but what do you wish would make a comeback?
