It's been over 20 years since the first Harry Potter book was published and, even all these years later, the franchise is still going strong. The books, written by J.K. Rowling, remain the topping selling children's series of all time. From the books to the movies and now multiple Harry Potter theme parks, the wizarding world continues to be a favorite among kids and adults alike.

Dressing up as Harry Potter characters for Halloween has always looked like so much fun, but if you don't want to wait until October to wear your Gryffindor or Slytherin attire (and if you're 21 and over), you won't want to miss this Boise event.

Tomorrow, February 24th, the Balcony Club at 150 N 8th Street in downtown Boise is hosting a "Wizards, Witches, and Muggles... Oh My!" costume party. Come dressed as your favorite Harry Potter character and receive $2 off of the $5 cover charge. The party starts at 9pm and you can dance and and grab drinks with other Potter-heads until 3.

Also, if you're looking for a costume, check out BoxLunch in Boise Towne Square. For every $10 you spend on pop-culture themed clothing and accessories (including Harry Potter shirts), BoxLunch will provide a meal for a person in need.
