Bogus Basin Parking Lots Full and Roads Closed As Snow Continues to Dump

It seems like the perfect weekend to go skiing, snowboarding, or tubing, but the parking lots at Bogus Basin have been completely full both yesterday and today, turning thousands of snow bunnies away! 

An article on idahonews.com suggests that this afternoon may lighten the parking lots as people start to leave and wrap up the weekend, but in my opinion you may want to wait until tomorrow or later in the week to hit the slopes.

Another report by channel 2 says that Bogus Basin is expected to get 36 inches of snow between Saturday and Monday.

As for the roads, they are reportedly slick heading up into the mountains and sections of HWY 32 and HWY 33 were closed  by the Idaho Transportation Department this morning due to hazardous driving conditions that included blowing snow. KTVB says HWY 21 is also closed North of Idaho City.

My advice, if you can stay indoors today, do so! I've got some tea brewing right now and I'm staying in my jammies and slippers all day! Let it snow, let is snow, let it snow!
