People travel from all over the world to experience the Gem State. They fish in our rivers. They boat in our lakes. They hunt in our wilderness. They ski in our mountains. They buy our houses. They eat our potatoes. Once they get a taste of Idaho, the world can't seem to get enough.

Now that Boise has In-N-Out, there's really not much that any other state has on Idaho. At least, that's what I thought until I read about the latest attraction being built in our neighboring state of Utah.

Utah isn't typically known for innovation, but things are changing thanks to Reed Hastings, the former CEO of Netflix who took over Powder Mountain last year.

Reed Hastings may be known for technology, but he should be known for leading a company that disrupted the entire entertainment industry. Getting people to leave traditional cable for streaming services like Netflix. Now, he's changing the future of skiing.

A typical Utah ski resort features world-class skiing, but that's about it. Powder Mountain will change that by adding some culture to your downhill experience.

Powder Mountain is about to launch the first-ever skiable art museum. Yes, you read that correctly. Not only will you be skiing down Powder Mountain dodging slower skiers and trees, but also artistic sculptures.

What's next? A downhill movie theater? A downhill bar? A downhill concert venue? Only time will tell, but whatever it is, we can point back to this moment when plain old skiing changed forever, thanks to a former Big Tech CEO who decided to disrupt the ski industry.
