The 2020-21 winter season is set to start on Friday, November 27, 2020! If snow conditions allow they could open earlier. I've never been skiing, snow boarding, or even tubing, so this announcement has me buzzing with anticipation! But like most things in 2020, Covid has asserted its unwanted influence onto all things enjoyable. Here's what you can expect moving forward this season:

Increased cleaning and disinfecting- First rule of pandemic life is sanitizing all day. Additional staff will be hired to facilitate continual sanitization of surfaces.

Expanded night skiing- To encourage visitation during off peak times for better social distancing, night skiing hours will now run from 3pm – 10pm, which allows for seven hours of access to the mountain. This will help thin crowds.

Limited ticket sales on peak days-  Out of mindfulness of crowding to be as safe as possible, the number of day lift tickets available for purchase on peak winter weekends and holidays will be limited. Availability will be determined based on analyzing visitation number of previous years, as well as current conditions.

The best way to ensure you'll have access to the mountain is to scoop up a season pass, as season pass holders will hold priority. Bogus Basin’s downtown sales office  (2600 N Bogus Basin Road) opens Wednesday, October 7th at 10:00am at which time you can purchase season passes online, by phone, or in-person.

For more information on the upcoming season including pricing and available classes, visit bogusbasin.org. Oh, last thing! The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster will not operate this season.
