A new Lion Rules at Zoo Boise
There's a new king in the Zoo Boise kingdom. Revan, a four-year-old male African lion, has been at the local zoo for about a month after his transer from Baltimore but has been in quarantine to allow for some adjustment. Well, now, we get to meet the newest addition starting today (7/5).
According to KTVB, Zoo Boise officials feel Raven has adjusted well and is healthy, so, they're ready to introduce him to you. To limit the contact between Revan and the Zoo's two female lions, Mudiwa and Obadiah, they will be rotating the days each of the genders will be on Exhibit. You'll be able to see Revan on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. "The lionesses will be on exhibit on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays." If you're waiting until they're all out and about together, you may be waiting for several months.
When you take a trip to Zoo Boise, you'll also be doing your part to save lions just like Revan in his native Mozambique. According to KTVB, he'll serve as the representative for Gorongosa National Park who partners with conservationists to save lions.
