As a newcomer to the Treasure Valley my first reaction after hearing about the State Street Stabbings was pure horror. I couldn't comprehend how someone could injure defenseless and innocent children especially in an area that feels so safe. As we have seen on Facebook comments unfortunately these types of things happen, but as we saw last night at the vigil, together we are #BoiseStrong.

I'm not sure of anything that could be worse than hearing that a 3 year old little girl lost her life as she was celebrating at her own birthday party. That kind of evil isn't shown very often. But after our community was faced with that realization, we stood up, we stand together to make sure the whole world knows the actions of this murderer don't represent what we stand for here in Boise and the Treasure Valley.

If you took the time to be at the vigil last night thank you. There were thousands of people that went to the front steps of Boise's City Hall to show support for the victims of this horrific event. We are wishing the best to everyone grieving, and special well wishes to the victims still battling their injuries in the hospital. Remember together we are #BoiseStrong.
