Now that Boise State's shown that they're open to hosting a major concert event on the famous (although covered up) blue turf, we can't help but dream of who we'll see there next.

I'm a nerd, so now that the dust is starting to settle from last weekend's Garth Brooks concerts, I couldn't resist digging into the numbers to see just how big the concert really was. Between the two sold out shows, Garth sold 86,000 tickets. Either single night performance brought out the largest crowd ever at Albertsons Stadium.  Yes, that includes the year where Kellen Moore and the Broncos made the cover of Sports Illustrated with a #3 preseason ranking.  It was also the largest entertainment event in Idaho history.

It's a pretty incredible feat to draw numbers like this, but we can't help but wondering what act could come close to pulling off similar magic. That's why we asked the two-part question: "which artist would you like to see at Albertsons Stadium next" and "which artist do you think would sell out the 40,000+ seat venue?"

We quickly learned that it was a difficult question for you guys to answer, because acts like Metallica who failed to sell out Taco Bell Arena came up more than once. It can be difficult to separate yourself from "fandom" and be honest with yourself while answering the question. My favorite band, OAR, has sold out Madison Square Garden twice. Their "The Mighty" tour is coming to the Knitting Factory on August 10. There are still tickets available. Despite the fact they've also sold out Red Rocks in Denver, they're just not popular in this part of the country enough to fill a stadium. (And yes, my heart broke a little typing that.)

We took all your suggestions into account and here's six of them we think would have a legitimate shot at selling out at least one night at Albertsons Stadium.

Beyonce

The last time Beyonce headlined her own tour was in 2016. The Formation Tour sold out every single one of its dates.  It's largest one night attendance was 55,736 at the Rose Bowl.  Hitting the road with hubby, Jay-Z, in 2018 for their On The Run II tour, she repeated that success selling out 100% of the dates.  The couple attracted their largest two-night audience at the home of the Atlanta Falcons, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where 105,170 fans showed up.

Taylor Swift

What's there to say about Taylor Swift's Reputation Tour? It earned $345.7 million dollars, sold out every stadium it stopped at and got its own Netflix special. Her fame has exploded since her Fearless Tour sold out the Ford Idaho Center in 2009. (Even in 2009, every show on her North American leg of the tour were completely sold out.)

Justin Timberlake

You might be surprised that despite his incredible post *NSYNC success, JT's never headlined a North American stadium tour by himself. During the Legends of the Summer Stadium Tour, he co-headlined with collaborator, Jay-Z. That tour drew its largest two-night crowd at Yankee Stadium where 89,023 fans shelled out money for tickets. The biggest venue you played during his Man of the Woods tour was Madison Square Garden, which had a turn out of 18,522 fans. Every date on the tour was sold out, so we're pretty sure that if JT wanted to do his own stadium tour, he could fill Albertsons Stadium.

Lady Gaga

Gaga's actually never done a full stadium tour either. 2017's JoAnn World Tour took place at mostly arenas with capacities around 16,000. Every date was sold out, including a handful of stadium dates at Wrigley Field, Citi Field and Fenway Park. She's currently under contract to continue her Enigma/Jazz & Piano residency at the Park MGM in Las Vegas through May of 2020 but does have a few months off between legs of the tour. If she wanted to come to the Blue, she probably could sell it out.

Pearl Jam

This is one of the question marks on tour list of contenders. They fell 3,776 tickets of selling our two nights at SafeCo in their hometown of Seattle last year.  They didn't sell out any of their North American dates in 2018, including a smaller Grizzly Stadium in Missoula.

Bruce Springsteen

Well, "The Boss" did tell several media outlets that he plans on recording with the E Street Band this fall and they plan on touring after the album is complete, so never say never.  He hasn't done a full tour since the The River (2016) tour. Nine North American venues fell short of a sell out on that tour, including in Portland and Denver.  But let's be honest, Boise doesn't get the opportunity to see a lot of legends like Springsteen so this could have massive potential. Plus, there will be a renewed interest in his music after "Blinded By the Light," a comedy-drama inspired by his music hits theaters.
