27-Year-Old Boise Man Killed In Crash Just Before Thanksgiving
A Treasure Valley family is mourning as we head into Thanksgiving and the holiday season. 27-year-old Kenneth C. Fourtner is no longer with us after a crash near Donnelly.
Fourtner tried to pass another vehicle on HWY 55 last night. The road was covered with snow and as he tried to pass he went off the east side of the road and rolled.
Kenneth was not wearing a seatbelt and he was ejected from his vehicle.
According to an article on idahonews.com, both Kenneth and the driver of the other vehicle were taken to St. Luke's in McCall, but Fourtner passed away from his injuries at the hospital.
Please be extra careful as you travel this Thanksgiving weekend. The Treasure Valley is under a winter weather advisory and a storm is expected to hit tonight through tomorrow with lingering effects on Thanksgiving day.
Life can be taken in an instant and my heart especially goes out to anyone who loses a loved one during or approaching the holidays. While everyone is sitting around the Thanksgiving table this year, this poor young man's family will be planning a funeral.
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers, commit to always buckle-up and plan ahead before you hit the roads.
This crash remains under investigation, and if additional information is released we will keep you posted.
