2023 Idaho Laws You Need To Know

The new year is upon us and that means a new batch of laws going into effect that some of us will notice right away... and honestly, some of us we'll never see these go into effect. Let's look at the laws and then we'll dive into the two big ones that stand out among the rest.

Excuse me? What's that? You mean I can actually "UNSUBSCRIBE" from something when I actually click the button... "unsubscribe"? I feel like more of us should be excited about this as we finally get a law that benefits us. There is another law that shouldn't bother many of us... as long as we're obeying the law.

A change is coming to your driver's license

One of the laws that we'll all notice right away is a subtle change to our driver's license that will see the addition of a "USA" citizenship on identification cards. There are differing opinions on this and I'm not about to get in the middle of it! I will say, as long as you're following the rules, this one shouldn't be too much of an issue. Marijuana enthusiasts likely noticed that legalization didn't make the cut for 2023. There are plenty of activists pushing for legalization in Idaho but unfortunately for anyone who partakes in the dark arts, they'll need to await another year to see if any major moves are made towards legalization.
