10 Most Affordable Homes in Boise!
Idaho's overvalued housing market has the Wall Street Journal's attention.
Last week the business and finance-focused daily newspaper based in New York City put it plainly: Idaho's housing boom "is reversing course." Single-family homes across the Gem State have risen by 79% over the last two years, but recent market trends predict they'll decrease by 10% percent in the coming months. While the Wall Street Journal's analysis is spot-on, today's house-hunters are still grappling with the high cost of residential real estate throughout Idaho.
Redfin, a real estate buy-and-sell platform, described the Boise housing market as "very competitive," giving the area a score of 77 out of 100 on the Redfin Compete Score™ board. For context, throughout the Gem State, average homes for sale are selling close to asking price and typically go pending within eight days of listing. The most sought after properties, however, are selling for approximately 1% above list price and go pending within just four days of listing.
All the same, it isn't impossible to find a budget-friendly home-for-sale in the Boise area. After combing through multiple real estate websites, we found 10 family homes in and around Boise that typical middle-income families could realistically afford. The kicker? Any one of these of properties are fantastic places to call home or start a family. They offer all the charms and conveniences of Boise living. That's a win-win in our books!
