Idaho sure does have its share of oddball town names that people in other states might think are strange, and we kinda like it that way.

Now it's time to show your pride and vote for the best town name.  And it's fine if you don't live there.  We'll never know.

The real estate company Estately came out with a state-by-state breakdown of the weirdest town names this week, and they picked Beer Bottle Crossing as the strangest one in Idaho.  It is pretty weird, but there are so many others!  Shells Lick, Slickpoo, Riddle, Dingle, and Santa come to mind.

And there are others that might be a little strange too like Kuna, Ozone, and Cabinet, but we've gotten so used to them that we don't give them a second thought.  They're just part of our culture and we don't ask whether people in Ozone are actually environmentally conscious, and we don't think for a second that people in Kuna shop with kunas instead of dollar bills.  (Kuna is currency in Croatia).  We just accept.

So it's time we show our pride and vote for the best town names in Idaho.  Use your own criteria to vote, whether you like the historical meaning, the fact that it's unique, or you just think it has a nice ring to it.  Tell your friends, and come back in a day or two to check on the results.  We love you all equally!  Have fun.
