On Thursday, August 10th Mix 106 will be helping kids all over the Treasure Valley who are food insecure and going hungry with the 5th annual Back Pack Buddy Program to benefit the Idaho Food Bank.
Put it on your calendar....the annual Mix 106 Cares for Kids Backpack Buddy Radiothon is Thursday August 10th. This is our 5th year of raising money for the Backpack program and we've helped to raise over a quarter of a million dollars to fund this program, but we can't do it without your help.
Our Friends at The Idaho Food Bank went to Weiser yesterday (1/24) loaded with 23,000 pounds of food with a goal to distribute food to around 375 families who have been affected by the recent collapse of Ridley’s Grocery store because of heavy snow fall over the past month.
Mix106 teamed up with the Idaho Food Bank for our 4th annual Backpack Buddy program. Jeff and JD spoke with Mary Ann who works for the Food Bank about the day and what it means to the kids who receive the backpacks..
Could you use a new car? Team Mazda Subaru in Nampa has very graciously donated a car for us to auction off; raising funds for the Mix 106 Cares for Kids Back Pack Buddy Program benefiting the Idaho Food bank.
Thanks to Ryan King and RBC Wealth Management who just visited with Mike and Nicole we have a chance to raise $10,000 this hour for the Idaho food bank's Backpack Buddy Program. RBC Wealth management will match all donations this hour (Before 8:30am) up to $5000.

Today, ix106's JD was out at the Albertsons on Vista for a very special event! Stuffing carts full of non-perishables led Albertsons to donate over $10,000 worth of food to local food banks near the Treasure Valley. Several lucky listeners walked away with candy, CD's, cases of Sparkling Ice, and even $25 gift cards to Albertsons!
