Become a Back Pack Buddy and Help Kids Who Are Going Hungry

This week Mix 106 will be helping kids all over the Treasure Valley who are food insecure and going hungry with their Back Pack Buddy Program to benefit the Idaho Food Bank...Here's how to take part:

These kids could be someone you know...a neighbor, a friend or even a family member.  Kids are able to eat breakfast and lunches at school....but what about on the weekends?  Most of the time they are going hungry or are eating less. We can help and that's why  Mike and Nicole will once again be broadcasting nonstop from 6am to 6pm this Thursday August 18th for the Mix 106 cares for Kids Back Pack program.

You’ve heard us say it over and over.  “But there for the grace of God go any one of us”.  Most of us are all one medical emergency, job loss or family death away from being hungry or needing assistance.  Truly every dollar does count.

Thousands of kids right here in the Treasure Valley go hungry or are food insecure at some point during the year. This is one small way that we can all come together to make a difference for our community, so please join us this Thursday and be a part of the Mix 106 Cares for Kids Radiothon.

In addition to taking donations we will also have incentives for those who donate such as an Apple i-Watch, Ruth's Cris Steakhouse Gift Cards, Roaring Springs Season passes, Tickets to the BSU vs WSU football game and more.
