Winter Storm Could Affect Your Thanksgiving Travel
A major storm is headed our way and it could affect your Thanksgiving travel. According to an article on KTVB, several inches of snow are expected to fall on Tuesday into Wednesday. We're expected to see at least a foot of snow in the mountains.
Peak travel times are expected to be Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning, and Wednesday afternoon.
At least 296,000 Idahoans are expected to travel for Thanksgiving. 263,000 are expected to drive. Combined with the weather, this could mean travel times that are 2-3 times longer than normal.
As far as gas is concerned, Idaho recently hit $3/gallon but prices are expected to drop throughout the winter.
If you do plan to hit the road, make sure your car is in good condition and pack extra clothes, water, a first-aid kit, flashlight, jump cables, flares, etc. We all love seeing family and friends, but it's crucial we arrive there safely.
