What’s Idaho’s Biggest Pet Peeve?

Is it just me, or is everyone's patience wearing thin these days? I'm going to go ahead and blame pandemic life for having me irritated in all the ways. Right now loud chewing, mumbling, and spelling/grammar errors top my list. There is no reason for anyone to sound like a cow chewing cud. This should have been learned in childhood! I'm a little hard of hearing, so if you mumble I'm automatically annoyed. And if I see one more person use "loose" instead of "lose" when describing not winning or suffering loss, I'm going to LOSE my mind!

A new study scoured through a year's worth of Google searches to see which pet peeve irked each state the most. While my personal peeves didn't make the list, the ones that did are understandable except for Nebraska's...and that's only because it makes me feel attacked. Apparently it must be the most productive state, since laziness ranks number one. Whatever.

11 states share a disdain for burping. I'm still impressed by people who can burp the alphabet. Alabama, Kansas, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Tennessee are not amused.

When someone's else's kids won't behave is the bane for 7 states. Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia wish they could scold your kids when they're acting up. From experience as both the parent whose child is misbehaving and the bystander watching it happen to someone else, it's frustrating for all parties involved.

Don't visit Connecticut, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, or North Dakota if you spend your days boasting about yourself. Bragging ain't it for these states. No one is interested in your new sports car or how you met Fergie in an ATM vestibule. Honestly, I feel this on a level. I'd rather watch your kid burp while throwing a tantrum than endure a monologue from a braggart.

But the number one pet peeve for Idaho along with 14 other states is slow internet. Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin lose patience when the page downloads at glacial pace.
