Treehouse Getaway

Of all the incredible Sandpoint accommodations you have to choose from, this one-of-a-kind three-story treehouse on a beach is the most original by far.

Featured in Great Homes of Idaho for its exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail, the Lake Pend O'reille treehouse is a refreshing take on a beachy getaway.

Starting with the steep ladder-like climb up, everything about the unique VRBO sparks a sense of care-free fun. During the day, guests are met with enchanting 360-degree views of the sparkling lake. At night, skylights flood the fort-like space with ambient light from the moon and stars.

Whether you're there with a significant other or joined by a friend, it's an incredibly cool and memorable experience to share with someone.

Branching Out from the Treehouse: things to do

A wide variety of entertainment awaits visitors just two miles down the road. Fantastic restaurants, boutique shopping, local art galleries, antiquing, and exciting night spots are yours to explore. Across the street, guests have direct access to a paved trail for walking and cycling their way in to town.

Things to Know Before You Go

This is your friendly reminder that this is a treehouse, not the Holiday Inn. The bathroom is itty-bitty! The copper-finished kitchenette is limited to a basic fridge, stove-top, microwave, and coffee-maker. And in case prairie-like living is a deal-breaker for you, there's also no WiFi. One more thing, the host, Jon, warns the treehouse is unsafe for small kids.
