There are so many hidden gems of things to do and things to see sprinkled throughout Idaho. That’s why it’s called the Gem State, right? I came across another hidden gem of an adventure in Coeur d’Alene - scenic hot cocoa cruises!

Every Friday through Sunday in the months January, February & March you can take a 90-minute boat cruise on Lake Coeur d’Alene. This obviously isn’t a tropical cruise though dress warm! You’ll get to explore all the beauty of northern Idaho along the lake. These fun cruises depart twice daily: 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm.

What’s a hot cocoa cruise without the hot cocoa? A delicious hot-cocoa bar is available on-board for purchase. Kiddos can enjoy original hot cocoa and for the adults, spiked cocoa!

Make sure you make your reservations ahead of time and buy your tickets online. These cruises are known to sell out, especially with COVID guidelines in place that limit the amount of guests on cruises. You can find more information and see some pictures of these scenic hot  cocoa cruises here.

Prices aren’t too bad for the experience either! Children ages 5 and under are free and children ages 6-17 are $11.50. For adults, tickets are $16.50 and seniors ages 55+ can get a dollar off. Boarding will be at The Floating Boardwalk to the east of The Coeur d’Alene Resort. The 12:30 pm cruise boards at 12:00pm, the 2:30 pm boards at 2:00 pm.
