Summer is upon us! The sun is making its return, the kids are out of school, and we're all looking to make plans and finally get out of the house and away from that pestering thing we call "reality." With the amount of families (mine being one) that adventure play and explore Lucky Peak, there needs to be a better emergency system in place. Last Sunday a local 56 year old active Idahoan, Mark Bell was surfing at Lucky Peak. He suffered a heart attack and it took over and an hour and a half (1hr, 37 mins) for medical crews to arrive, at that point it was too late and he was gone.
A duck has been shot clean through the neck with a blow dart at Lucky Peak and authorities are asking for the public's help in finding the perpetrator.
One of the best parts of calling the Treasure Valley home is our incredible recreation opportunities. Now, Lucky Peak could be getting even better with a trail expansion.
