Now that I've signed the lease, the process of moving in has begun. The easy part was setting up the utilities. Power, gas, water, sewer, and trash are all ready to go. Now I'm waiting for the rest of my stuff (along with my family) to arrive. In the interim, I'm living in an empty house without a fridge, washer, dryer, furniture, and lots of little things you forget you need until you don't have them. So I made a Target run to get me through the next few days.

For the bathroom I picked up towels, body wash, toothpaste, toilet paper, flushable wipes, and cotton swabs. But I forgot a shower curtain. So I'm living that sit down shower life for now.

Thankfully Moug let me borrow an air mattress, so I got sheets, a pillow, and a pillow case. But I forgot a blanket. So the nights haven't been as cozy.

I don't have a ton of clothes here with me in the first place, and without a washer and dryer I'm about to be running around naked. I picked up a couple tops and bottoms just to be safe along with some socks and underwear.

As for food, I just stocked up on pantry snacks and resigned myself to the fact that I'm gonna be spending all my money on delivery. And I picked up some gallon jugs of water. I like it room temperature anyway.

I'm sure later I'll find I'm missing some other essential. If you think of anything else I should pick up, let me know. I'm heading to the store for a blanket and shower curtain anyway.
