Snow Hits Idaho
This makes me pretty nervous for the winter months to come. Blowing snow has shut down I-15 in eastern Idaho. Here's where you need to be careful if you plan on traveling and what you need to know about the weather here in the Treasure Valley.
Idaho State Police are warning the public about worsening conditions. According to an article on idahonews.com, as of this afternoon, there were no serious accidents, but several slide-offs. Heavy snowfall can be seen near Dubois, south of Spencer, Idaho.
As conditions continued to worsen this afternoon, the decision was made to close a 30-mile stretch of I-15 in both directions between Dubois and the Montana state line.
No word yet on how long the closure will last according to KTVB.
No snow for the Treasure Valley, but we are expected to drop down to a bitterly cold 23 degrees by early morning.
Be sure to bundle the kiddos up as you send them off to school in the morning and grab a coat yourself. It's going to be pretty cold over the next couple of days.
