Amidst all the elections news, Boeing aircraft being grounded, Congressional hearings, the college cheating scandal, Colorado's 'bomb cyclone', and Facebook/Instagram shut down Wednesday, we have more news that comes at you locally in Idaho.

Do you remember when Dick's Sporting Goods changed the way they sell guns immediately after the February 2018 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland? Dick's swiftly made changes that include not selling to under 21 years of age and removed assault rifles and high-capacity magazines.

The popular sporting good store has decided to eliminate the sales of guns, period. That means that Dick's will no longer carry any weapons and replace their gun and ammo section with other items.

This topic obviously touches DSG's in a different way considering they sold a weapon to the Parkland shooter. The shooter never used that shotgun, but I can see how that might impact the CEO Edward Stack. The fact that the weapon they sold could have been used to murder innocent people eventually made the decision for them.

The NRA fired back at Dick's swiftly.

Dick's is currently looking to add indoor batting cages to replace the ammo section. There are currently three Dick's in the Treasure Valley.
