Police Officer Hit By Drunk Driver in Boise

A report of a drunk driver ended with a police officer being hit head-on in West Boise. 

Last night reports came in of a drunk driver on Hill Road. The officer found the pickup they were looking for according to reports on KTVB, but the pursuit ended with an officer being hit head-on.

Reportedly the police officer saw the pickup they were looking for drive into his lane and slowed to a stop on the side of the road before the accident occurred.

The driver of the vehicle has been arrested for driving-under-the-influence. Luckily, no one was injured. Both vehicles have been towed.

It's another reminder that we have to take driving under the influence seriously. If you choose to go out tonight, have a designated driver or plan to Uber or Lyft. There is no reason for this to happen.
