Part of Eagle Road Will Be Closed This Week

This is going to shock and surprise you, there is more construction going on in the Treasure Valley. Idaho News was quick to get the word out that part of Eagle Road will be shut down Tuesday night and continue on Wednesday night.

The northbound lanes will be shut down will take place between Pine Ave. and Fairview Ave. beginning at 9 p.m. and should be back open no later than 5 a.m. on Wednesday. Then on Wednesday night again starting at 9 p.m. the southbound lanes will be closed detoured to use Locust Grove Road.

The City of Meridian is repaving the temporary asphalt that was laid down after a water-main break that took place in February of 2018 causing erosion.

The initial fix was for an emergency situation only and was never intended to be the final surface.

If at all possible try to avoid the area on Tuesday night and if you must travel that way please be extra careful and lots of construction crews will be working to get this project done quickly.
