I love shopping. It's not a vice, it's therapy! And when you shop small business it helps the community, so basically...it's community service? I'm reaching. In any case, it's always cool when a new retail shop opens in town. More options! Juniper & Blue Boutique is setting up shop in Meridian, with a grand opening this Friday, April 23rd.

It was just two months ago that the clothier made its spring launch online. The aesthetic is cozy and prairie chic, which sounds weird but it's still pretty cute.

You can shop their collection online but if you wait until Friday you can head over to their brick and mortar location on N. Linder Rd. I still maintain shopping in person is the way to go. How are you supposed to get an accurate idea of what a garment is like if you can't hold it in your hands? Not sure if you can try anything on, but I hope they have a dressing room situation.

Also, online doesn't have complimentary drinks, food, and prizes like their grand opening will. Festivities run from 11am- 7pm. Merchandise will also be on sale to celebrate. The skirts and dresses aren't my personal style, but the loungewear sets will be a staple in my wardrobe this spring and summer. And probably winter whenever they launch the winter collection.

Local artists in Boise and Twin Fall who make jewelry and hats are encouraged to reach out for collaboration and to be featured in their store. If that's you, DM them on Instagram.
