NBC’s ‘Taken’ Will Find You, And It Will Show You a 2017 Trailer
We’re still trying to wrap our heads around a Taken prequel that somehow takes place in the modern day (“I will find you, and I will kill you” will look great in HoloChat), but NBC’s February premiere has finally granted us an official trailer. See those particular skills in their nascent stages with a new look at NBC’s Taken.
Following some early, since-pulled footage from the summer, NBC finally released an official promo for the February 27 premiere of its Taken update. Led by Vikings star Clive Standen in the role Liam Neeson made famous, the new Taken series follows a young, unmarried Bryan Mills developing the abilities that featured into the original 2008 movie, and its two subsequent sequels.
Also starring in the series are Jennifer Beals, Gaius Charles, Monique Gabriela Curnen, James Landry Hebert, Michael Irby, Brooklyn Sudano, Jose Pablo Cantillo and Simu Liu. Homeland alum Alexander Cary wrote the pilot script and executive produces the new drama, behind original film director Luc Besson, as well as Matthew Gross, Edouard de Vesinne and Thomas Anargyros. Game of Thrones and Homeland director Alex Graves helmed the pilot episode.
Time will tell if the new series comes anywhere near the popularity of Liam Neeson’s films, but is the first official footage at least worth finding, and killing over?
