Music, Food, Drinks and some gift baskets round out some of the things that you can partake in during a local 'Walk MS' fundraising event happening in downtown Boise on Friday, April 8th. Rooftop views over scenic downtown Boise? Those are totally free!

If you're unfamiliar with "Walk MS", it is an annual event that aims to lead to something greater with every step. Routes planned are stroller and mobility device-friendly so that everyone can participate. These walks also take place all over the nation.

Here in the Treasure Valley, a goal of $70,000 has been set for the Treasure Valley Walk MS Chapter and sponsoring a walker, creating a team, or simply donating is the best way to help out.

One local rooftop venue is hoping to raise funds for the cause, too.  Zee's Rooftop Cafe, located downtown Boise, alongside non-profit "Corks4aCure" is hosting an evening-long event. From 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8th until 9:00 p.m., music, apps, beer and wine will be available for a $25 suggested donation-- proceeds going towards the cause.

This is your chance to have a fun Friday evening and help "Put A Cork in MS" --from what is arguably, the best view in downtown Boise.

The walk is on Saturday, April 9th and begins at 10:00 a.m. here in the Treasure Valley. According to the MS Society website, there is a 1-mile walk and a 3-mile walk. Both routes begin at Julius M Kleiner Memorial Park at 1900 N Records Avenue in Meridian, Idaho.
