Mountainview High School Senior Selected as State Winner for Google Competition
I love seeing the fun, interactive artwork Google puts on their homepage for special occasions. Alejandra Dahlmeir is a senior at Mountain View High School senior and has been selected as a state winner in the ninth annual Doodle 4 Google competition!
Her doodle represents Idaho in the 10th through 12th grade category, which you can vote for now HERE!
The contest is for K-12 students across the United States and has 53 state and territory winners. Students were asked to redesign the Google logo inspired by the theme “What I see for the future...”
Alejandra named her doodle, “Humankind’s Next Great Leap...Mars.” It has an interplanetary travel theme.
You can vote online through March 6 HERE! They will narrow those votes down to five national finalists, one in each grade group. Google will announce the finalists, and the national winner, on March 31. The winner’s doodle will go live on Google.com that day for everyone to see!
The national winner will take home a $30,000 college scholarship and the student’s school will also receive a $50,000 Google for Education grant toward a computer lab or technology program. How amazing would that be?!
