Meridian Library Launches New Book a Bike Program
Starting next week, the Meridian Library won’t just have books and other multi-media to check out, they will also have bike rentals!
It's part of the "Book a Bike" program. The city got a grant from the Blue Cross to help fight childhood obesity and some of that money went into this program.
What a great way to encourage kids and families to be more active. You can exercise your mind AND body! Biking with the family is so much fun and a great way to bond and spend some quality time together too.
There will be a selection of bikes, for toddlers all the way to adults, available at the unBound branch of the Meridian Library.
Each bike comes with a kit with everything that you need to be safe! It has a helmet, a lock and light.
All you need is a library card and be 18 or older to check out a bike.
This cool new program starts next Friday, April 14, just in time for National Bike Week which starts this Sunday, April 9 and goes through April 15.
You're invited to an evening of fun with a food truck rally and "Book a Bike" program launch taking place the at Meridian City Hall parking lot on April 14 from 5p -9p.
