Memorial Day Marks the Start of the “100 Deadliest Days”
Memorial Day marks the first of the "100 Deadliest Days", a time when injuries and accidents spike and when hospitals see more patients with traumatic injuries.
AAA expects more than 39 million Americans to be traveling over the long holiday weekend. It's also the highest it's been since 2005!
We’ve been cooped up all winter long and this weekend is the first for a lot of people to get away, travel, head out on the water or up to the mountains, doing activities they've been waiting all winter to do.
A few tips…

Stay hydrated. Especially if you’re drinking alcohol or sugary drinks. Motorcycle and car crashes increase and a lot of times involve alcohol. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!
Wear your seat belts or helmet if you’re on a bike, don’t follow too close, and watch your speed. OK I’m done. Stay safe!
