Dr. Marlene Tromp Named New Boise State President
Dr. Marlene Tromp was introduced today as the 7th president of Boise State University. and the first woman to lead the University.
Tromp will start July 1 at an annual salary of $425,000. She was one of five finalists in a second search for a replacement to Bob Kustra who retired.
Tromp was a provost and executive vice chancellor at the University of California Santa Cruz.
Tromp, who was introduced Tuesday afternoon at the Stueckle Sky Center, mentioned she was brought up in a small Wyoming community and says her goal as an educator is to help people.
