WATCH: Idaho’s Most Evil Woman Once Competed on Wheel of Fortune
There are very few people in Idaho who haven't heard of Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell.
Vallow was sentenced to life in prison in May 2023 for her role in the murders of J.J Vallow, Tylee Ryan and Tammy Daybell. She's been extradited to Arizona where she's facing additional charges for the death of her ex-husband and attempted murder of another family member.
Daybell's trial is scheduled to begin in April 2024 in Ada County. Right now, the death penalty is still very much a possibility.
Their horrific crimes are documented in the trending Netflix documentary Sins of Our Mother and one particular detail absolutely caught me off guard.
Before Lori Vallow there was Lori Ryan
In the Netflix documentary, Lori Vallow is portrayed as someone who loved the spotlight in her early days. The documentary series shows her competing in pageants and yes... Wheel of Fortune. Let's take a look at Lori Vallow (who was then known as Lori Ryan due to her marriage to her ex-husband Joseph Ryan Jr.) and her time on Wheel of Fortune.

It's horrific to think about and in some sense, it's extremely sad. In the clips, Lori seems to be enjoying life as a hairstylist in Austin, Texas while beaming with joy as she talks about her son Colby and her daughter Tylee. At the time, Tylee was just a year old and it's heartbreaking to think that her mother, the Wheel of Fortune contestant, would have a hand in her death.
Interestingly enough, it's not the first time evildoers and murderers have appeared on TV for reasons unrelated to their crimes. Back in 1991, the infamous "BTK Killer" made an appearance on a show for being a dog catcher.
In terms of game shows, fans of the show The Dating Game were shocked to learn that one of the contestants on the show was, in fact, an actual serial killer.
