Now you have one more reason to love former Boise State Football Star and NFL Pro-Bowler Leighton Vander Esch he just dropped $45,000 of his own money to create a new weight room at his old high school in Riggins. This story was first reported by BlueTurfSports.com, and it makes perfect sense. In the NFL off season he is going to want to be home with family while staying in shape, how he has the perfect place to do that.

The new weight room has actually already been in use for the last two weeks. The deal was negotiated by Vander Esch's agent Ron Slavin who made it happen with Boise Fitness Equipment. The price of the equipment was discounted in exchange for some marketing and promotion for the company. The project in total would have cost $70,000 but as previously mentioned it was discounted to $45,000.

The weight room now has everything you would need for an NFL type workout. Vander Esch has been in the new gym most mornings at 6 a.m. before school starts. In honor of his current team the Dallas Cowboys the walls are navy blue and will soon have quotes of inspiration on them.

When the boxes of equipment were ready for delivery at Salmon River in February in true Vander Esch style he was there to unload the truck and unpack boxes himself. To make things even sweeter his Nike deal included new uniforms for the basketball and football teams at Salmon River next season.
